great service but rooms need updates
The staff greeted me warmly upon my arrival, catering to my needs with genuine care. The breakfast was a standout feature. It provided a good start to my day, being one of the best I have tasted.
The room decor felt a bit dated compared to the overall ambiance of the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay and plan to return. Rooms were very nice. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Hotel oozes charm and character.
We had a great stay and its a shame to complain about such small things. Breakfast was cleared away before we had finished. No side plates at breakfast. Bar was closed early at night. No Guest Lounge with easy chairs. No newspapers. Water from shower flooded floor. Some rooms did not have full length mirrors. Bedside tables are to small (to get a cup of tea onto).

We liked the historical atmosphere and setting of The Crown and the authenticity of its refurbishment. The whole building has tremendous character.

The hotel is well located in a lovely village.
The dinner was way below par.No wonder there were only two other people in the dining room.On our two weeks of travelling through southern England this was undoubtably the poorest of the breakfasts and dinners we had.

Very quaint both with enough modern touches to be very livable
A bit too sparse on comforts, but consistent with the old-world charm.

very comfy bed
That you have to pay extra (£25 for 2 people!) for a full breakfast. At the price you pay for the room, this should be included.

Careful thought has gone into the package offered, with excellent food, some of which is inexpensive yet still of a very high standard. The complimentary continental breakfast is spectacular, and even includes whisky if that is what you like on your cereal. The home...

We visited Great Ormond Street and enjoyed the fun and educational atmosphere. The rooms were cozy. Just a heads up, you should definitely check out the roll-top baths and the great breakfast options.
The noise from the room above us was quite disruptive. It made it hard for us to get a good night's sleep.
